Getting to us

The centre is at 50 Bloor Street West, with Bloor-Yonge station steps from the door. If you're driving, there's paid parking in the centre's garage, with more paid lots close by, and since HIFU involves no anaesthesia you can drive yourself both ways.

Treatment day

Is a HIFU session too long to fit around a downtown workday?

It depends on the area. A full face and neck session takes 60 to 90 minutes, more than a lunch hour once travel is added, so if you work near Bloor and Yonge, it's better booked as a half day or as the day's last appointment. Smaller treatments change the math: brow or décolletage work can be done in 30 to 45 minutes, which does fit a longer lunch break from an office in the core. And because there's no downtime, you return to your day the moment you leave the chair.

Can I drive home after HIFU at the Yorkville clinic?

Yes. HIFU involves no anaesthesia and no recovery period, so you can park in the Holt Renfrew Centre's garage, have the treatment, and drive home as you would after any other errand. How far ahead of an event should I book HIFU?

Further ahead than most treatments. HIFU results build as new collagen forms, which takes three to six months, so if you're treating for a wedding, a big birthday, or a season of events, book three to four months before the date rather than three to four weeks. Some tightening shows straight after the session, but the larger change arrives later. Treating the brow alone is a smaller plan than treating the full face and neck, and the price follows. That's why we don't publish a price list. Can I have the consultation and my HIFU treatment in the same visit?

Sometimes, though having the consultation separately first makes sense for HIFU. The consultation is a real assessment: the clinician examines your face and neck, gauges your degree of laxity, and occasionally the answer is that HIFU isn't the right treatment for you. If you'd rather handle both in one trip downtown, ask when you book; combining them makes for a longer appointment, and we'll confirm whether the day allows it. Either way the consultation is complimentary, so the worst case for a single visit is a good conversation and no treatment.
