Lines and movement

Frown Lines

Frown Lines

The two vertical lines between the brows that stay put after the frown has gone.
Forehead Lines

Forehead Lines

The horizontal lines across the forehead, made by the one muscle that lifts your eyebrows.
Crow's Feet

Crow's Feet

The lines at the outer corner of the eye that used to disappear when your face relaxed, and now don't.
Downturned Mouth

Downturned Mouth

Corners of the mouth that sit lower than they used to, so you look unhappy when you are not.
Dimpled Chin

Dimpled Chin

The pitted, pebbled surface on the chin, from a muscle pulling the skin down onto the bone.
Masseter Muscle Hypertrophy

Masseter Muscle Hypertrophy

A jaw that has squared off and widened, from the chewing muscle growing rather than from the shape of the jawbone.

Volume and contour

Loss of Facial Volume

Loss of Facial Volume

Flattened cheeks and hollow temples, where the face has emptied rather than sagged.
How to Get Rid of Jowls

How to Get Rid of Jowls

The softening along the lower jaw and the chin that a photograph shows before a mirror does.
How to Get Rid of Nasolabial Folds

How to Get Rid of Nasolabial Folds

The crease from the nose to the corner of the mouth, deeper now than it was, and still there when your face is at rest.
Thin Lips

Thin Lips

A lip that was always small, or a lip that has lost its edge and its fullness. Lip filler treats both, and not in the same way.
How to Get Rid of a Double Chin

How to Get Rid of a Double Chin

Fat under the chin is one cause. Loose skin, a slackened platysma muscle and the position of the chin are the others.
How to Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Eyes

How to Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Eyes

Pigment, thin skin and a hollow look much the same in the mirror, and each one answers to something different.

Skin

Uneven Skin Tone

Uneven Skin Tone

Patchy colour across the face, from sun, from old spots, or from vessels sitting close to the surface.
Uneven Skin Texture

Uneven Skin Texture

Skin that feels rough or bumpy under a fingertip rather than looking uneven in colour.
Dehydrated Skin

Dehydrated Skin

Skin short of water feels tight and looks dull, and that is a different problem from skin short of oil.
Acne Scars

Acne Scars

The dips and the flat marks left in the skin after the acne itself has gone.

Neck, chest and hands

Ageing Neck

Ageing Neck

Loose skin and crepey texture through the neck and under the jaw.
Neck Lines

Neck Lines

Vertical bands from the muscle underneath, horizontal rings in the skin itself.
Ageing Décolletage

Ageing Décolletage

Sun damage, creasing and patchy colour across the chest.
Ageing Hands

Ageing Hands

Thinning skin, sun spots, and veins that stand out more than they used to.
